Over the past 5 years, I have been on quite the journey with my skin. I’ve gone from acne-prone skin to sensitive, to dry, to oily, etc. I mean you name it, I had it. It wasn’t until recently that I’ve finally started to understand my skin and it’s needs. Although it is still a work in progress, I have finally found the products that work for me when it comes to my night-time skin care routine.
The keyword that most of the products have is “gentle”. This whole time I thought I needed products that were strong to get rid of my acne and blemishes. Turned out my skin was already irritated and needed something gentle and more soothing. I seriously wish I would have known that a long time ago, but now I do and my skin can finally start to heal!
Bioderma Sensibio H2O, Micelle Solution: My first step is removing my eye makeup. From a smokey eye to waterproof mascara and even a lip stain, this product removes it all! A few pumps on a cotton pad and let it work its magic! It is absolutely one of my holy grail products. You can use it to remove your entire face of makeup without rinsing your face afterwards. Trust me when I say that I have done this a few nights when total laziness kicks in. It leaves your skin feeling fresh as well as soothes and clears up irritation. It’s also hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, alcohol-free and paraben-free. This product should be in everyone’s stash!
Fresh Soy Face Cleanser: Step two is to cleanse my face. Where has this cleanser been all my life? Why did I only now discover the awesomeness that is this product? It’s gentle and instantly whisks away impurities and makeup. Since using it, I’ve noticed a huge difference in my complexion. I still get pimples here and there, but nothing like before. It soothed and softened my skin, as well as made it more radiant. If you’re looking for a gentle cleanser that not only improves the overall health and appearance of your skin but can also remove your makeup, I highly recommend this product.
Origins Original Skin™ Renewal Serum with Willowherb: Step three is applying serum. This renewal serum is designed to restore the glow of younger skin. The second you hit your mid-twenties, it is never too early to start anti-aging and renewing products! It’s non-irritating, absorbs great, hydrates and makes skin feel super soft, bright, and shall I say, youthful.
Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins™ Mineral-Enriched Renewal Cream: Last and final step, moisturizer. I know I’ve said that “creams” just don’t work well on my face, if you didn’t know I said that, then you can read all about it here. Well, clearly I hadn’t found the right one! When I wake up the next morning, my skin feels radiant and refreshed. I do find it a little heavy when applying, but my skin is so dry from this Canadian winter that my skin really needs it.
There you have it, folks! My night-time skin care routine is pretty simple. On nights when I’m pampering myself, I do add an extra step or two but for the most part, this has been my routine for almost two months and I couldn’t be happier with the way my skin has improved.
