There are many things in life that make me all giddy and excited. Travelling, a new lipstick, a fab pair of heels, a good income tax return— You know, all the good things. And now add appliances to the list! This little foodie heart of mine has been dreaming of the day that I’d have new appliances, and I’m more than excited to share my little kitchen appliance update along with my partnership with The Brick! 
It was time for an update…
We’ve had old white appliances for as long as I can remember. Not that they were horrible or anything, just very outdated and very very very loud. You know, the kind of old appliances that can drown out a conversation in the dining room, or trying to watch a movie and you find yourself constantly putting the volume up as the dishwasher is running. Yeah, that kind! So when we were on the search for new appliances, we had a checklist of requirements that these new babies needed to meet. Priority numero uno was aesthetically pleasing, of course. They also needed to be quiet and can accommodate my absolute love for hosting and my little fruit monster (Jude the dude), which meant a fridge with loads of storage, a stove with unique features, and a dishwasher than can hold more than 10 plates!

It was love at first sight…

After doing much research, I knew that Samsung was the way to go! They’re ultra-sleek and modern along with really cool technology features that a busy mama dreams of.
The Fridge
Our old fridge didn’t treat us right. New ice cream would get freezer burn within a couple of weeks and certain areas of the freezer would barely keep things frozen. The fridge would sometimes freeze our fruits and vegetables and there simply wasn’t enough space/ good organization of the drawers and shelves. Which meant that there would be a lot of food waste and that’s not good!
Black stainless steel is seriously the future! One of the things I kept hearing time and time again, was how much parents regretted getting the classic stainless steel appliances. As much as they loved the bright shiny silver, there was an eye-roll at the annoying amount of finger prints. My little dude is the type of kid that likes to open the fridge just for the sake of it, so I couldn’t imagine how often I would clean it. Although, I guess that isn’t such a horrible thing to always have a really clean fridge…But who am I kidding. I know I’d get fed up and only clean it twice a month, because hello mom life. So not only does the fridge not have the look of a million hangry gremlins trying to rummage through it, the color is just pure perfection. Not too shiny, but shiny enough that says “hey, look at me!” in a total subtle suave way.
Storage. Finally, enough space to store ALL the fruit for my little fruit monster and veggies for this mama! Everything is so neatly organized, which also helps to lessen the waste. When you see everything you have, you’re most likely to eat it up. There’s also a mid drawer with a Smart Divider that lets you divide the contents into convenient storage compartments with different temperature settings for different types of food.
The Dishwasher
Now of course I was picking this dishwasher because it matched the appliances, but when I read up on it, I fell in love with a couple of features. This was a huge upgrade from our old extremely noisy dishwasher! The quiet factor alone is worth mentioning. The only time you hear it run is when it drains, which happens maybe 3 times during the cycle. During the first few uses, I found myself checking to see if it was still running. Yes, I know, I’m a total new appliance newbie!
The technology is probably my favorite part. Both the dishwasher and the stove are WiFi enabled allowing remote control and monitoring from anywhere at any time using the smartphone App. I’m able to turn on/off and select cycles.
The Range
I think this is truly my favorite part of my little kitchen update—A range that truly makes this foodie mamas heart melt! It has the look of a gas range with the dials but without the stress that those flames give me. The options of using one or two ovens…Say WHAT!?! WiFi connectivity allowing you to monitor the cook-top and control the oven, all while getting alerts about the cooking. A warming drawer to keep your food or plates perfectly warm, so say goodbye to cold dinners!
I could go on for a few hours about how much I’m enamored by this range! There’s so much information and specs that I want to share, I’ll keep it for a future post (pssst! coming real soon!) where I really dive in to show you how perfect it is for a home chef, busy mama, and/or hostess.
Along with the new appliances, I finally got some extra seating at my counter with these fab Pinnadel Stackable Counter-Height Stool. I love the brushed finish with the industrial look. I’ve been eyeing these stools for a while and I find they fit so well in the kitchen. It’s also my little dude’s new favorite seat in the house! Loads of after school snacks and coloring has been done in this little space now.
I love how updating the appliances and adding a few extra seating, has changed the look of my kitchen. Now it truly feels more modern and chic! Thank you so much to The Brick for making this kitchen update happen! My dinner parties and day-to-day living are now tremendously improved. 🙂
