The beginning of January is the best time to buy workout clothes. Most stores are having awesome sales and are taking advantage (in a good way) of everyone’s new year’s resolution of getting fit. Whether you’re new to the grind or an avid gym goer, you should definitely pop in and update your wardrobe. Okay, and if you just want stretchy relaxing clothes for running errands or lounging around in, no judgement here. Instead I applaud you. I like your trickery! Workout clothes equals fit girl or workout clothes equals comfy girl? They’ll never know…
In the past when I’ve bought workout clothes, I always get loads of black and very little color. A small habit I’d like to change this year is embracing color. Although it will be hard to change my ways, getting a shopping buddy to help sway me from my typical “morbid” color choices, will definitely help me in this process. I mean, if Wednesday Addams can, why can’t I? Okay, I digress. I will change this habit one step at a time.

Currently, Old Navy‘s sale is up to 50% off! Here are some of my picks that I’m hoping to snag today.
Top Row (From Left to Right): Go-Warm Compression Crops for Women, Go-Dry Compression Crops and Printed Compression Leggings
Bottom row (from left to right): Go-Dry 1/4-Zip Pullover, Ruched Cami Sports Bra, Go-Dry Mesh Yoke Run Shirt for Women and Go-Dry Long-Sleeve Graphic Tee
Ardene always has great sales, and most of their workout gear is 50% off! I would definitely suggest you go in store because they have way more options than online.
From left to right: Track Jacket, Studio Seamless Bra, Active Crop Pant, Move Bra and Popover Hoodie
You simply can’t go wrong with Forever 21. Granted, they aren’t exactly having a “sale” but their clothing is mostly inexpensive and just too dang cute to pass up!
From left to right: Sports Bra, Mesh Paneled Sweats, Netted Mesh Pullover and Muscle Tee
You just saved some money and now you can splurge on those kicks you need to go with it! Depending on the kind of training/workouts you do, I wouldn’t go the cheap route. Unless the quality brand ones are on sale. Go for it! Those Nike’s you’ve been eyeing are begging to be on your feet…no seriously, they are.
Where you do like to shop for workout clothes? I also love Winners (Marshalls, T.J.Maxx), WalMart and Joe Fresh. Is getting fit one of your goals for 2016? You can check mine out here + a printable goal setting worksheet for your goal-digger self! All you have to do is subscribe to the blog and you’ll get exclusive updates and freebies thrown your way because that’s how I treat my homies.
