My official minimal Scandinavian Home Office Reveal
My home office has been a work in progress for some time and I’m glad to finally have a more completed workspace. With limited space, we were able to transform this little nook into a space that sparks creativity and most importantly, productivity. I believe that in order to do our best work, we need a space that supports us— I quickly touched base on this in my post where I shared tips for productivity while working from home. Essentially, having an area of my home dedicated to my business has helped to separate home life from work life.
When it came to planning the design of my office nook, it actually all started with the acrylic calendar. I thought it would be so fun pairing it with an accent wall as you can see through it but I knew that I needed to keep it as minimal as possible. Once I picked out the wallpaper, everything just came together. Aside from my attempt at a DIY desk but that’s a day I’d like to forget as your girl isn’t the best DIYer. Funny I’m saying that because we did make those photo ledges but that was truly foolproof.
As I’ve been working in this space for a while now, there are a couple of things I am thinking about changing/upgrading. I am on the hunt for a more ergonomic chair & desk. It’s safe to say that the chair I currently use isn’t the best for sitting long hours of editing. For the most part, these changes would be more for my physical health than aesthetic purposes. I’m still on the search for the perfect pieces but once I find them, I will have to share an update. But with that being said, with two oddly lengthed walls and ALL the sunlight hitting it, I knew we could create a space that would serve me well.
As I mentioned above, I shared links to the majority of the items in my office at the end of this post. If there’s an item you want a link to that isn’t posted, just let me know and I’ll be happy to share. Happy Scrolling!
