When it came to choosing our new range, one of my top priorities was that it had to be functional for more than just our day-to-day cooking. For a home chef and busy mama, I was looking for key features that would help make cooking dinners a breeze and flexible.

Two ovens or one?
This feature alone sold me on the range. The Flex Duo™ dual door convection oven makes it possible to cook multiple dishes at the same time. There are two separate temperature controls and a removable divider between the upper and lower oven sections. So you can cook dinner and make dessert at the same time, you can make two different sides, bake cookies and a pie, etc… You get the point! ? This is a serious game-changer for entertaining too! Now I won’t have to strategically plan how I’m going to bake 2 dishes at two different temperatures, oh, AND keep them warm.
Did I mention the third drawer at the bottom is a warming drawer?! Say goodbye to cold dishes! When I’m serving multiple dishes, I’m able to focus on the rest of the meal, since I’m able to place the sides in the drawer and they’ll be nice and ready to be served once the main dish is done. Breakfast is also a breeze when everyone wakes up at different times! I make a stack of pancakes and keep them in the warming drawer till everyone is up and ready to eat.
As flexible as the oven is, so is the cooktop! It features a Bridge Burner and a Triple Burner with a choice of ring sizes for the ultimate flexibility. You can easily cook multiple dishes without breaking a sweat and you know that’s kind of a big deal around here.
Second ultimate game-changer…
A second major reason why Samsung has my heart—WiFi connectivity at its finest! Raise your hand if you’ve ever forgotten to turn off a burner, set a timer, turn off your stove, forget to turn it on… I have two hands WAY up in the air. Connecting to WiFi and using Samsung’s Smart Home app, I’m able to remotely monitor the cooktop and control the oven, as well as get real-time alerts about my cooking and even possible errors! You can also add pre-programmed temperature settings and timer for all your most-loved dishes. With the built-in Temperature probe, (yes, built-in!) I’m able to see how my dish is cooking!
To answer your question…YES, I can turn my oven on or off if I’m out of the house, as well as set the temperature and timer.
Flashback to New Years Day, 2017… I had a few years of experience hosting our family dinner and I was making two glorious roasts. I finally felt like this was the one year that I had everything perfectly planned to a T! I’m watching my thermometer to make sure that it’s cooking well but when we started getting to the time when the roast was supposed to be done, I noticed that the temperature of the roast hadn’t gone up at all. To my jaw-dropping surprise (literally, I’ve been told my expression was priceless), the oven had somehow turned itself off midway through cooking. Now, I’m not putting all the blame on the range. Who knows, maybe I did something, but there was never any beep or notification that the oven turned off. I can’t even imagine this happening again with our new range. On a positive note, it made for a really funny story!
