Spring is here, so let’s celebrate!
The arrival of Spring makes me want to come out of hibernation, pop open some bottles of wine, invite a few of my fave gal pals, and celebrate Spring over a delicious feast. It’s the perfect way to kick off the season! This dinner party decor was inspired by these rustic plates and wood accents from HomeSense, paired with an effortless vegetarian menu. Fuss-free tabletop with rustic yet feminine touches…
When it comes to creating a beautiful tablescape, I’m not one for all the bells and whistles. (See another party here!) I love a clean and minimal tabletop that still has beautiful impact. I like to make the food take center-stage with gorgeous plating, which also allows me to serve food family style—There’s nothing that breaks the ice more and gets your guests mingling than passing around plates of food.
I also love implementing some natural touches to add a little life to the table. The wood platters are so much fun and I love the different textures and grain. Adding pastel dinnerware along with some cute floral napkins gives a feminine touch.
On the menu…
My number one tip for creating an effortless Spring dinner party menu, is to let the seasonal ingredients dictate and inspire your dishes! There’s nothing worse than creating a menu with dishes and ingredients that aren’t in season, making it hard to find and/or really expensive. Also, if you’re wanting to host but need to keep the costs really low, then have your friends bring a dish to add to the dinner.
