With the cooler weather (hopefully) making its way, all I can think about is how cozy I want my life to be for the next few months. From dressing in layers to fuzzy socks, I want to feel like I’m wrapped in a warm blanket… But Fall isn’t just about fashion! It’s also the perfect time to give your home a little Fall spirit by adding simple decorating touches to make it cozy and welcoming. The first room in our home to get this cozy update was our master bedroom. So today, I teamed up with HomeSense to share my top 5 ways to make your room cozy for fall!
Add a throw blanket or two…
From textured knits to furry goodness, throw blankets are perfect for cuddling up on those chilly nights. Plus, they can add great seasonal texture, color, and print to your room!
Pile up those pillows…
Paired with throw blankets, pillows make for the best cuddle buddies! Again, look for pillows with a lot of texture like velvet and fur. Pile them up on your bed and get your cozy on! Disclaimer: May provoke too many feelings of coziness thus leading one to not wanting to get out of bed.
Light it up…
Nothing sets the mood for all things cozy better than candles and pretty lights, right!?! If you’re going for scented candles, switch out the light summer scents for pumpkin, woodsy, and apple scents.
Warm it up with gold…
Now I know gold isn’t necessarily cozy, but those tones add such great warmth and luxe to a room. Personally, I love to mix metals and go for a silver and gold combo.
Accessorize…
Switch out your summer accessories for Fall inspired items. I love adding pumpkin accessories without overdoing it. I found this white porcelain pumpkin that doubles as storage for all my rings. #FabFind! While you’re at it, get yourself some new cute mugs for that cup of joe!
Have you made any home updates for the Fall season?
