When it’s zero degrees outside (32 degrees Fahrenheit) and you live in Canada, the winter coats come off and you’re ready for spring. Well, that’s how I look at it anyway. I couldn’t be more excited to be able to whip out my leather coat and enjoy the warmer weather for the short while that it was here.
This look is a mix of my current obsessions- Pinks, florals & Daniel Wellington. Now to be quite honest, I wasn’t always a fan of pink. I used to think that it was an unflattering color on me and for many years I favored all black and white clothing. But this past year, I made a solid effort to wear more color but I was still hesitant about pink. It wasn’t until I bought a pyjama shirt that was pink and the only reason I bought it was because it was on major clearance. Random, I know. But the night that I decided to wear it, Jude thought it was the nicest shirt he’d ever seen on me. Day after day, he kept going into my drawers, telling me to put the pink shirt on. My heart melted every time.
Slowly I started to buy more pink tops because he liked it so much, but the more I wore that color, the more I started to like it. Now we’re at the point that I’ve basically become obsessed with it and I want to paint the town pink! Yeah, I go 0 to 100 real quick…
I feel like you simply can’t go wrong with a Daniel Wellington watch, and the Classic Black Sheffield makes my heart skip a beat. Speaking of hearts, Valentine’s day is right around the corner and if you’re looking to buy that special someone a little something, this fab watch would make a perfect gift! You can even get matching ones with your lover, how cute would that be!?
Not sure if I have any “The Devil Wears Prada” fans for readers but every time I wear florals, I think of Miranda Priestly’s infamous quote, ” Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking.” But I guess I’m pretty safe from her judgment since it is still Winter and either way I’ll wear these pants all year round. These pants were the start to my vow that I made to wearing more color, not to mention that I feel really confident when I wear them. There’s nothing like a great fitting pair of pants to get you motivated to conquer the day!
*Side note, these last two photos truly describe weird Canadian weather. One minute there’s no snow on the ground, then the next it’s a sea of white.
