Apple Cinnamon Raisin Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 1 small apple
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 11/2 tsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup oats
  • 2/3 cup and 2 tbsp almond milk
  • 5 walnuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Chop apples into bite sized pieces and fry in a pan with cinnamon and 2 tbsps of almond milk, on low heat until desired tenderness.
  2. Meanwhile, combine oats, raisins, almond milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract in a pot and cook.
  3. Place your oatmeal in a bowl and top it with apples and walnuts, serve warm.

Notes

  • I prefer my oatmeal creamy but if you don’t, cook oatmeal according to package instructions.
  • You don’t have to cook the apples apart from the oatmeal, you can combine everything together.
  • Use honey or agave instead of maple syrup.
  • I LOVE cinnamon but if you prefer less, adjust to your taste.
