- 1 small apple
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1–1/2 tsp maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup oats
- 2/3 cup and 2 tbsp almond milk
- 5 walnuts, chopped
Instructions
- Chop apples into bite sized pieces and fry in a pan with cinnamon and 2 tbsps of almond milk, on low heat until desired tenderness.
- Meanwhile, combine oats, raisins, almond milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract in a pot and cook.
- Place your oatmeal in a bowl and top it with apples and walnuts, serve warm.
Notes
- I prefer my oatmeal creamy but if you don’t, cook oatmeal according to package instructions.
- You don’t have to cook the apples apart from the oatmeal, you can combine everything together.
- Use honey or agave instead of maple syrup.
- I LOVE cinnamon but if you prefer less, adjust to your taste.
