A kitchen faucet with no lever? YES PLEASE 😍

So we did a thing...we switched out our old faucet for this gorgeously chic GROHE Essence SmartControl Kitchen Faucet from @grohe_canada. I instantly fell in love with its minimal, sleek design- Isn’t she a beauty?! P.s. you can swipe to see the before.

Wondering how it works? The GROHE SmartControl® button is conveniently located at the tip of the pull-out spout. With a simple push of the button, you can turn the water flow on and off. Turn the SmartControl button to adjust water volume from a soft stream to a powerful flow, perfect for rinsing fruits & veggies or quickly filling up pots. And to control the water temperature, you do so by turning the valve at the base of the faucet. *A serious shoutout to the design of the faucet, allowing me to pile up dishes higher than with a curved faucet...omg jk! But it does give me more space to fill up water jugs. #TotalWin 😁

Mexican Style Spring Rolls with a Chipotle Honey S

Mexican Style Spring Rolls with a Chipotle Honey Sauce - SAVE THIS POST to make for lunch! 🤤 ⁣

Lunch just got a whole lot easier and more delish! @bonduellecanada Mini Cans are the perfect portion size to amp up your meals with more veggies, all while saying goodbye to food waste. They are steam and packed with less water, so they retain their flavor more and are ready to eat! (Not to mention the portable Mini Cans are pretty darn cute 😄) You can find 4 varieties of preserves - Corn, Chickpeas, Quinoa & Red Kidney Beans. ⁣

Ingredients:⁣
For the Rolls⁣
1 Corn, Quinoa & Red Kidney Beans @bonduellecanada Mini Cans ⁣
1 Avocado, peeled, pitted & thinly sliced⁣
1 small Pepper of choice, julienned⁣
4 Rice Papers⁣
Lime wedges & cilantro for serving⁣
⁣
For the Sauce⁣
¾ c olive oil⁣
½ c red wine vinegar⁣
¼ c honey⁣
3-4 chipotles in adobo⁣
1 tbsp adobo sauce⁣
½ lime, juiced⁣
4 garlic cloves⁣
1 tsp oregano⁣
½ tsp cumin⁣
Salt & pepper to taste⁣
⁣
Fill a shallow dish with hot water. Working one at a time, place a rice paper in the hot water for about 15 seconds, or until soft and pliable. Move the paper to a damp surface (like a wooden cutting board). Layer veggies on the rice paper in a long narrow row, leaving about 2 inches on either side. Fold the sides of the rice paper over the mound, then gently roll. Cover finished rolls in a damp paper towel until ready to eat.⁣

In a food processor or blender, blend all the ingredients for the sauce until well combined and serve with rolls. ⁣

Today is Autism Awareness Day and April is autism

Today is Autism Awareness Day and April is autism awareness month. Funny given the timing of yesterday’s tough day (🥲) but this is our every day and it will always be.

The dude views, feels, experiences, learns, smells, hears, and interacts in a way that is his own. When he’s not talking or playing with trains, he’s jumping on the trampoline, riding his scooter, spinning around, and giving me serious stress with all his stuntman tricks. 🤣❤️ Of course, you know our day-to-day isn’t always filled with laughter and good times - There’s sensory challenges, self-harming, meltdowns & severe lack of sleep.

We’re always adapting, adjusting and learning. We let go of expected timescales and celebrate every little step of progress and wins. ☺️

I hope that after this day and this month passes that instead of “awareness”, this becomes understanding, inclusion and acceptance. There needs to be a place in society and in the workplace with equal opportunities. That governments make more services available and accessible, especially once the individual starts to enter adulthood. ❤️
