Meet my first *successful* mini culinary herb gard

Meet my first *successful* mini culinary herb garden 🌿👩🏽‍🌾

I used to be so intimidated to start a garden because of my green thumb (or lack thereof) and lack of time & space *I thought* I needed. I quickly learned that whether you have a windowsill, patio, or spacious backyard—you can start an herb garden just about anywhere! Not to mention, cooking with homegrown herbs (and veggies) makes a huge difference in flavour. So it was time to kick the doubt to the curb and get my “Millennial Day Martha Stewart” on!

With the help of @miraclegrocanada’s Root Farm Seed Starting Kit and LED Grow Light, & their new amazing Plant Parent Garden Guide (see my #linkinbio to learn more), I grew my herbs from seeds and your girl is feeling proud! I didn’t have to be concerned whether my seeds were getting enough sunlight or if I was over-watering them. From planting your first tomato garden to getting tips about house plants, the Plant Parent Garden Guide is not only super cute & interactive, but is so helpful with any questions a plant parent may have! 🌱

P.s. A fun tip I learned: To help with shock to the seedlings when transplanted, 1 to 2 weeks before you want to plant them in their permanent homes, start bringing them outdoors to help them adjust. I placed the plants in a well-shaded spot for a couple of hours per day, then slowly built up the amount of sunlight and hours of outdoor time they received each day. The Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Potting Mix that I used also helped protect my plants against overwatering and underwatering!

Now, I’m feeling more confident to start growing more herbs & potentially veggies! Do you have a garden this year? Would love to know what you’re growing!
